Jamie J. Berman, Esq.
A native New Yorker, Mr. Berman has been a partner of the firm since 2003. He limits his practice to Matrimonial law, family law, domestic relations law and Appellate Court practice associated with all of the above.
Mr. Berman holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthopology from West Virginia University where he graduated Summa cum laude and was nominated and inducted as a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa fraternal organization. Mr. Berman was also the recipient of the Arnold J. Levine Memorial Award for outstanding research. He went on to complete his Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law in May, 2001 on an Annual Merit Scholarship. While at Hofstra, Mr. Berman participated in the Criminal Justice Clinic, was selected as a member of the NITA, ATLA and NTC trial competition teams and was named "Best Oralist" of 2000 in the annual Appellate Court competition. Additionally, during his tenure at Hofstra, Mr. Berman had both the honor and privilege of interning for Hon. Abraham J. Gerges, S.C.J. where Mr. Berman drafted and published his first judicial decision.
Prior to choosing a career in Law, Mr. Berman was the owner and General Manager of a four division multi-state distribution company, IDC, Inc., which he was responsible for starting in 1981. For more than ten years, Mr. Berman was solely responsible for product development and supervision, manufacturer negotiations and relations, client negotiations and acquisition, distribution routing and management, employee relations as well as financial management.

Charles Scupp
Mr. Scupp was admitted to the practice of law in New York in 1983. For the last twenty
five years his practice has been concentrated in the area if Matrimonial Law and Bankruptcy Law. Mr. Scupp is a graduate of Pace University and holds a Master of Arts from Rutgers University and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Bridgeport School of Law.
In addition to being admitted to The New York State Bar, Mr. Scupp is also admitted to the Eastern and Southern Districts of the Federal Courts in New York.
During his twenty five years of practice law Mr. Scupp has been involved in all areas of matrimonial cases and Family Law proceedings.
Mr. Scupp’s expertise in bankruptcy law has frequently been beneficial to his matrimonial clients when a bankruptcy issue becomes a factor in matrimonial cases.
Prior to becoming an attorney Mr. Scupp was a high school history teacher and guidance counselor and as a result of which he is his able to provide his matrimonial clients with certain experiences as a former educator which is particularly helpful in those matrimonial cases involving children.
